Your classroom has
just moved outdoors
Are you curious about the natural world around you? Do you want to get outdoors, reconnect with nature and experience the joy of discovery?
These small group nature walks might be just what you are looking for.
Hi, I'm Amy. I'm a nature
based educator, tree-hugger
and animal lover.
I'm a Marin native and have loved walking the trails of Marin for decades. As an elementary school science teacher for over 30 years, I've always been inspired by the way in which children question the natural world.
I would like to bring this wonder and joy to people of all ages. Now, more than ever, I believe that we all need the healing properties of nature.
The goal of these classes is to share my love of the outdoor world with small groups, families and friends in a way that is both educational and playful.

Testimonials
Amy led us on a beautiful walk through the Phoenix Lake watershed. We stopped and sketched several times: on the mountain top, beside the lake and in a wooded valley. At each stop, Amy shared a new way to observe and record. She is very knowledgeable about the plants and animals in our local habitat. Amy's kind manner, sense of humor and encouragement allowed me to openly share my observations and drawings. It was a lovely way to spend a morning.

Our son came home from the first hike high on life! He had such a great time and was oozing with joy about all the cool stuff he learned. He's thrilled with the animal bones/teeth he found and wants to take our family back to show everyone.
Thank you so much!! Such an uplifting afternoon for him. We are so grateful.
Cheers,
D.I.
